Description:
Have you ever wondered what a river looks like below the surface? Please join us at the Sparks Bank Nature Center on Tuesday, October 24th from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. for a talk from Dan Sproles and Dylan Linnell who will share their experiences of snorkeling in rivers. They will display the gear that they use, show videos of the sights to be seen in a flowing freshwater ecosystem, and discuss what you can learn from seeing a river “Eyes First”.

About Dan and Dylan:
Dan Sproles and Dylan Linnell are local freshwater aquanauts who enjoy exploring rivers and streams. They first started snorkeling in the Gunpowder River in 2020 before setting off to explore rivers across Appalachia in search of the elusive Hellbender salamander. This journey instilled a deep appreciation for the beauty and importance of these natural resources.
