
Sophie is a Maryland native studying Environmental Science at Skidmore College. She is especially interested in land conservation, water protection, and environmental education. At Skidmore, she has contributed to research on invasive species management, nitrogen fertilizer application, and sustainable technologies like solar ovens.
This summer, Sophie is supporting Gunpowder Riverkeeper by working at the Sparks Nature Center, monitoring water quality, and developing maps of the Gunpowder River region. She brings experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and is passionate about making environmental information useful and accessible to the community.
