Gunpowder RIVERKEEPER® was pleased to receive our data report from Rae Terracina, the Chesapeake Water Watch Program Manager at Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. The data, reproduced below, show the percentage of samples for Chlorophyll-a and turbidity that fall over or under the EPA thresholds for those metrics. The report also includes a map showing the combined turbidity values in both the Chesapeake Bay overall and a close-up map of our sampling sites in the Upper Bay on the Western Shore.
Gunpowder RIVERKEEPER® is thrilled to have been able to provide Chesapeake Water Watch with the 81 data points from the 11 sample sites that we and our partners monitored. Check out the infographics below for a detailed breakdown of the data we collected and use the QR codes to learn even more.
