Tristan McGregor is from Baltimore County, Maryland. He has lived around the Gunpowder River his entire life from Joppatowne all the way to Middle River. His whole life he has fished and crabbed the river from a little kid all the way to an adult and still remains very passionate for advocacy for this waterbody. He is a past recipient of the Terry Newendorp Scholarship in 2022. This lead to the opportunity to assist with bacteria monitoring all across Harford and Baltimore County in the summer of 2022. He is a rising senior at Towson University majoring in Environmental Science with a Geology Concentration and heading back for his masters after he graduates with his bachelors in the spring of 2026.
This summer he will be helping in multiple aspects from water monitoring, digital/physical mapping, and improving the Sparks Nature Center for the public.
