Steve started his college education and career as a microbiologist, earning a BS degree in Microbiology from the University of Maryland and working at NIH and Johns Hopkins. Steve finished his career in science, developing rapid diagnostic tests for various infectious diseases at Becton Dickinson. Steve went on to earn a second degree at U of MD to pursue a career in computer science at CSX and T. Rowe Price. For the last 10 years of Steve’s career, he was a network engineer for T. Rowe Price. In retirement, Steve has been fortunate to pursue his first love, science, by helping with the water quality work for the Gunpowder Riverkeepers. Steve hopes his efforts will help improve the environment and make a change for a better world.
