Alex Worgo will be joining Gunpowder RIVERKEEPER® this summer for his capstone project. He will look at invasive snakeheads and mud snails and how different water quality affects their populations and surrounding ecosystems. He is a Master’s student at Unity College, where he will be receiving a degree in wildlife biology, conservation and management. He received an undergraduate degree in biology from California University of Pennsylvania in 2019. He is from Annapolis, Maryland and currently resides in Baltimore City.
I am very interested in working for Gunpowder Riverkeeper (GRK) because of their amazing work in conservation and restoration of the Gunpowder. I have spent many years of my childhood fishing and hiking around the Gunpowder with my father and grandfather, so being able to work with and hopefully for them one day would be a dream come true.
