Erin Adams is an AmeriCorps member excited to be serving her
community through environmental stewardship as the Volunteer Coordinator with the Gunpowder Riverkeeper/Sparks Nature Center. In her AmeriCorps capacity, she will be helping to connect the center’s visitors to the Gunpowder Falls and the Gunpowder River by sharing the forest to faucet concept. The Sparks Nature Center is located on the Torrey Brown Rail Trail along the river that provides drinking water to 1.5 million people. She is a graduate of the University of Baltimore with a B.A. in Environmental Sustainability and also received an A.A.S in Sustainable Horticulture from the Community College of Baltimore County. For the past six years, she has coordinated environmental partnerships between organizations and businesses for local waterway clean up and trail maintenance events. Erin enjoys hiking and protecting pollinators through beekeeping and growing native plants in her garden.
