Gunpowder RIVERKEEPER® defends the Gunpowder, Bush, and Middle River watersheds from environmental threats by holding polluters accountable. GRK patrols the rivers, reviews permits, collects water quality data and represents underserved community environmental concerns. GRK protects the primary source of drinking water for 1.5 million people in the Baltimore Metro area, a nationally recognized tailwater trout fishery, and critical spawning habitat for 26 species of Chesapeake Bay finfish.
